此外，觀視鏡還可以提供有關蒸汽系統(tǒng)其它方面的情況。例如觀視鏡玻璃如有同體沉淀物而變得模糊，可判斷蒸汽中含有游離的氧和二氧化碳，因而引起凝結水管的腐蝕，也可判斷鍋爐給水中有機物沉淀。
