工件在磁粉探傷時(shí)將工件磁化；當(dāng)工件的長(zhǎng)軸與地磁方向一致并受到?jīng)_擊或振動(dòng)載荷時(shí)被地磁場(chǎng)磁化；工件磨削、電弧焊接、低頻加熱及強(qiáng)磁體接觸被磁化等。只有在個(gè)別情況下工件上的剩磁有用處，但在絕大多數(shù)情況下，其上的剩磁都是有害的，故進(jìn)行退磁，退磁就是將工件內(nèi)的剩磁減小到不妨礙使用的程度。
